Congratulations to the NSW Children’s Week award winners for 2015!

Exceptional Young Person Award: Tikirah-Ann Douglas
Following the death of her pop, eight year-old Tikirah-Ann from Tumut has raised more than $26,000 for her local hospital who cared for her pop last year.






Endeavour Award: Dalia Al Haj Qasam
Dalia is a 17 year-old student at Northmead Capa High School. Dalia is passionate about social justice and has worked on several initiatives to benefit refugees. One example of her work includes a community service project, ‘Free to Read’ which saw Dalia collect and send more than 300 books to children at Villawood Detention Centre.

Community Commitment Award: Eden Marine High School
For their Community Service Program. Every week a group of over 60 students involved in the program visit residents of a retirement home.










Advocacy for Children Award: Early Years Discussion Group Far West NSW
The Early Years Discussion Group is a group of community-based children’s services based in Broken Hill who have for ten years worked to improve services to benefit children in the area.
